Could not agree more with Debbie Gartner’s post on hardwood flooring to help sell your home. She has awesome suggestions to fit limited budgets also. If you’re preparing your Tulsa home for sale, please take time to read this!
As a Denham Springs Home Appraiser, I would agree that higher quality “real” hardwood floors do help sell your home, NOT that cheap, thin $1.50/sf installed wood laminate flooring. CARPET IS OUT and many homes I inspect don’t even have carpet any longer, especially rental properties. I would say that in lower priced homes, cheaper wood laminate is better than carpet. And, just a tip that the darker the hardwood color you choose, the more dust bunnies will show and drive you crazy from time to time.
